The collaboration between HP and YMCA continues in 2024, building on the success of previous years and aiming to further promote digital inclusion through accessible and engaging digital education opportunities. This initiative has proven to be instrumental in bridging the digital divide, empowering young people, educators, and marginalized communities with essential skills for a digitized world.
Achievements So Far
- Regional Expansion: In 2023, digital hubs were established in Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, and Macedonia. These hubs provided many participants, including young people and educators, access to HP LIFE courses. In Macedonia alone, almost all primary and secondary schools in Bitola participated, reflecting the strong interest and need for such initiatives.
- Interactive Learning Experience: The courses, designed by HP experts and facilitated by YMCA youth workers, cover diverse topics such as Communications, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Digital Skills, and Professional Development. Each course features short videos, dialogues, pictures, and quizzes, ensuring an engaging learning experience.
- Flexibility and Certification: With durations ranging from 15 to 50 minutes, the courses allow participants to learn at their own pace. Upon completion, participants receive an electronic certificate detailing their achievements.
Looking Ahead in 2024
Encouraged by the positive feedback and the growing demand for digital skills, we are committed to expanding and enhancing this initiative in 2024. Our goals for the year include:
- Reaching More Participants: Continuing to provide free access to HP LIFE courses for students, educators, and individuals of all ages in Bitola and beyond.
- Strengthening Regional Hubs: Collaborating with local schools, employment centers, and businesses to ensure more people benefit from these resources.
- Innovative Programs: Introducing new ideas and expanding opportunities for digital education to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Participation Details
- Who Can Join? Open to everyone with a functional email, intermediate English skills, and a desire to learn.
- Where? Courses are conducted at the Youth Center (Krushevo Street 5, Veljko Vlahovic Community, Bitola) or within participating institutions.
- What Do You Need? All necessary equipment is provided, and no prior knowledge is required.
- Cost: The program remains completely free of charge.
