Empowering Youth

YMCA is part of the big World YMCA family spread throughout 119 countries reaching over 58 million people.

Hello, my name is Filip Bozinovski, and I am 17 years old. I completed all the courses in the HP Life project and am very satisfied with the experience. I learned about these courses through my high school, "Josip Broz-Tito" in Bitola. The courses helped me gain valuable skills that I can apply in the future. I plan to pursue university studies focused on technology and its role in helping humanity. The courses are short, easy, entirely online, and free. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially young people interested in improving their computer skills or starting a business. My favorite courses were on communication and Success Mindset. I thank YMCA and HP for providing an effective way to learn useful skills.

The Eco Camp directly involved us in the organization of our open day, where various games were played and many useful facts about bicycles and cyclists were learned, as well as about protecting our environment through the use of bicycles. For several days, we learned through games, and on the last day, we shared this knowledge with children and adult citizens who visited us at the city park. The event turned into a beautiful scene of “BitolaNaTocak,” where we completed a big circle around our city with bicycles, accompanied by all the bicycle enthusiasts.

When I heard about this training, I signed up immediately, eager to start. Unlike just talking about mental health, this training actively engaged young people, teaching us its importance and encouraging us to share it with peers. It focused on breaking stereotypes, personal growth, self-confidence, and healthy relationships. The sessions were always positive, fun, and calm, and we often gathered in a circle to share experiences where we felt heard and accepted. Over the course of the workshop, I gained new insights about myself, improved my mental health, built social connections, and overcame my fear of public speaking.

During my studies, I had the opportunity to become part of YMCA as an intern. I would like to share that during my internship at the organization, I gained skills and knowledge that greatly contributed to me both as a student and in my professional development. Additionally, I would like to highlight my positive experience working with my mentor, as their support and collaboration significantly contributed to the successful completion of my tasks.
