YMCA is part of the big World YMCA family spread throughout 119 countries reaching over 58 million people.
When I heard about this training, I signed up immediately, eager to start. Unlike just talking about mental health, this training actively engaged young people, teaching us its importance and encouraging us to share it with peers. It focused on breaking stereotypes, personal growth, self-confidence, and healthy relationships. The sessions were always positive, fun, and calm, and we often gathered in a circle to share experiences where we felt heard and accepted. Over the course of the workshop, I gained new insights about myself, improved my mental health, built social connections, and overcame my fear of public speaking.
Andrea Participant in Peer School's Mental Health for YouthI had the opportunity to give a presentation in front of 40 students and two psychologists at my school. It was a huge experience for me, but at the same time a big challenge. It was wonderful to see how my words affected the students, and to hear positive feedback from all of them. Every new experience of this type helps me improve and feel more confident in myself, both now and in the future. I believe that working with younger students is extremely important, because they are in a period when they learn the most and form themselves as individuals. I would like to help them learn how to deal with violence and create positive relationships with the people around them.
Mihaela Participant in Peer School's against Peer ViolenceThrough the workshops and trainings, I gained self-confidence and felt prepared to speak in front of other students. What was most interesting to me was that through games and discussions, we learned how to recognize different types of violence and how to react properly. I felt most excited when I had to speak in front of other students, but over time I realized that there is no place for shame and fear – it is important to speak openly. I believe that such activities are extremely important and I would like to be a peer educator again. The feeling that I can make a change, even a small one, gives me the strength to continue.
Mert Participant in Peer School's against Peer ViolenceI learned about myself that I am an altruistic person who has great analytical and engineering skills, and through the meetings, I received direction on how to build myself as a person further. I think that this methodology would benefit the youngest people in secondary education who are still not sure what to do next after secondary education, for example, which university to go to when they become adults. I think there are so many young people unsure of themselves and with no ideas for their future professional lives and this activity would be of great benefit to them.
Angela Participant in Career Counseling Profil PassI have benefited from the internship in several ways. It has given me the opportunity to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting, allowing me to gain hands-on experience in graphic design. Working on diverse projects has helped me develop my creative skills, improve my design process, and become more confident in my abilities. Additionally, the internship has taught me how to work effectively within a team, collaborate with others, and meet deadlines, which are all valuable skills for my future career. It has also provided me with a better understanding of the professional environment and the importance of communication and feedback in achieving quality results. Overall, this experience has significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth.

I completed all the courses in the HP Life project and am very satisfied with the experience. I learned about these courses through my high school, "Josip Broz-Tito" in Bitola. The courses helped me gain valuable skills that I can apply in the future. I plan to pursue university studies focused on technology and its role in helping humanity. The courses are short, easy, entirely online, and free. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially young people interested in improving their computer skills or starting a business. My favorite courses were on communication and Success Mindset. I thank YMCA and HP for providing an effective way to learn useful skills.
