Peacemakers Global Week

Latest News Peacemakers Global Week From the Macedonian group of participants This summer, about 50 young people gathered in Oslo, Norway within the framework of PEACEMAKERS GLOBAL WEEK 2022. It was a week of discussions, learning, action, and interesting meetings on various issues around global world trends that also affect young people. With participants from many countries, Global Week is an event where one gets a sense of how small the world is and where the cosmopolitan spirit is built. This event is an opportunity to better understand how young people from different parts of the world work and how they think about important world issues related to tolerance, justice, and peace. The “Global Week” took place in the period from 11-17 July 2022 in Oslo under the auspices of the Global YMCA-YWCA of Norway. There were participants from 3 continents, and we were four from Macedonia, Marina, Andrej, Tea, and Bojan. The activities during the entire event included various games through which we got to know each other and our cultures. In a very short time we realized that although we come from different countries, we all have different characters, we all come from different religious and national origins, and we all come from different cultures, we realized that we are united by one thing: our will to learn something more and our desire for a better tomorrow for all of us. The topics we worked on were related to discrimination, violence, stereotypes and prejudices towards young people from foreign backgrounds, racism, and racial discrimination, ethnic stereotypes and segregation, prejudices and discrimination towards refugees and immigrants, and a bit about global warming. In addition to the serious part, there was of course also the intercultural evening in which we presented our countries and cultures through our traditional food and a few words more about our country. We had endless fun and unforgettable days spent. We left Norway full of emotions, friendships made, and lifelong connections. We all finished the trip to Oslo with new experiences, learned things, friendships, and memories that we will always carry in our suitcase called life.

Synergy Training for Personal Development in Ravnogor

Latest News Synergy Training for Personal Development in Ravnogor By Petar Kuzmanovski and Viktor Zafirovski From June 1-8 a synergy training was held in Ravnogor, Bulgaria organized by the Synergy Bulgaria team, which conducts such training for personal growth and development. The training was led by Markos and Julia, the leaders of Synergy Bulgaria, and was titled “Charge your future” like when you charge a battery on a charger. The training was attended by 23 young people who wanted to learn something more about themselves. The content was focused on achieving personal development through a series of specific outdoor and indoor exercises that challenged our limits. With that, the trainers tried to achieve a new kind of personal integration, of our qualities and skills that we want to improve to have a healthier and more fulfilling future. The event was attended by participants from several countries such as Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania. It also contributed to the international moment in the group, as there were participants from countries with which I had never been in contact. There were only two participants from Macedonia, Viktor and I, and the overall experience was very interesting and challenging. Especially the part that was about outdoor activities, like the part where we were left to fend for ourselves in the nearby surroundings around Ravnogor and how the synergy training made us understand the ideas of “creativity” in a new way and make it applicable in solving the problems we were thrown into. I think that all the participants were involved in everything and that they used a lot of the experiences to start thinking about how they can make changes in their lives in the future that will always feel energized. You can see a short video of the training here.

Empowering Summer Camp Youth Leaders (ESYL)

Latest News Empowering Summer Camp Youth Leaders (ESYL) By Kristina Talevska After the short break, in May the ESYL training for camp leaders in the YMCA continued. Again in The Netherlands, in May 2022 leaders from several YMCAs from around Europe gathered to learn about camping, camp rules, camp games and other activities relevant to them as future leaders. This event was an unforgettable experience that will forever remain in our memories. For us it was a huge opportunity to learn new things, to meet new people and a new country, to expand our knowledge, skills, and creativity. After the necessary postponements of this camp due to the pandemic situation this whole event was a great refreshment and a return to reality. This camp took place near a small town called Leusden and is part of a large network of YMCA camps in the Netherlands. Several countries participated, such as Romania, Macedonia, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, and of course, the hosts from the Netherlands happening between May 25 and 29. Within a short time since we arrived, we all bonded and it wasn’t long before we started talking to each other as if we had known each other for years, with no awkward moments, no shyness, no introversion. Everyone showed a genuine interest in the country the others came from, its culture, daily life, habits, food, and traditions. We don’t know if it was because of the effects of the pandemic wave, but it was certainly good to feel human warmth and togetherness as before. Since at this camp we were preparing and reminding ourselves how it is to work with other people, important topics we covered were leadership, being a good communicator, being a team player, what it means to be a volunteer coordinator, creating workshops, and feeling spontaneous throughout that process. The three of us from Macedonia, myself, Darko, and Andrej went through a program that helped us to return to the good old tested camping routines and to get new strength for the future.

Testimonials 2019

Latest News Testimonials 2019 Lidia, Luka, Andrea, Jovche, and the volunteers of “Bitola na tochak” – Mosaic, EVS project “We helped this initiative to become more active, helping them with their cause in every possible way. This meant helping them promote their activities on social networks, creating flyers and leaflets, and distributing them in local cafes along the main pedestrian street in the city (called “Shirok Sokak”). good ideas to the end, and let’s record them. And another thing we did, since we participated in the critical masses. – Luca had a lot of experience with bikes and made sure the bikes were always ready. We also helped at the camps of YMCA Bitola, providing mainly logistical assistance. We made sure all the camper tents were in order, helped with what was needed in the office and the warehouse where the camp supplies were kept, and also went to the campsite to take various things there, and also visited the nearby beautiful town of Krushevo. The third important aspect was the fact that we were given space to explore and show some aspects of our culture, we were given a lot of freedom for this, and we devoted some time to this to see what would happen.” Tamara, Viktor, Davor, Mia, and Sarah – Game on – Olde Vehte, Netherlands “When we applied, we expected it to be a normal project, but as the days passed, we realized that this would be some of our best moments! It all started with a dynamic game and then continued with several conversations we had with people from many other countries, people of various origins, etc. We were all enthusiastic, excited, and running around Olde Wechte with big smiles on our faces. After some time spent with many new friends and even more happy moments, we went to the part where we had a chance to be creative, innovative, and imaginative. We all had fun playing games that we made ourselves, which proved that we are capable of doing things that can give us a lot of excitement later on. It was quite a challenge for all of us, but in the end, it turned out to be the most fun weekend of our lives where we got to know the Dutch culture and gained some important skills! As we were closing the project, we were looking back at all our memories from these two weeks – and we would like to recommend everyone to apply for a youth exchange like this one in Olde Wechte.” Ivo Damjanovski – training in Hungary, organized by Egešek (Hungarian Youth Association) – 22-31.05.2019 “This training introduced me to coaching in more detail and thanks to it I understood the differences between mentoring and coaching, I practiced the tools and techniques I learned in the several coaching sessions, I found the bridge coaching style and I improved my communication (verbal and non-verbal). The training was good because every technique learned was followed by a space to practice it, meaning that the knowledge was not only applicable, but I also had the chance to try it out and experiment with the various techniques on the spot. I can apply the knowledge from the part of communication in my everyday life, but it is also very useful for working with young people, as are all the other tools from the part of coaching that we learned. Indeed, this was quite a useful training!” Bojan Velevski – EVS – Olde Vehte, Netherlands “I studied art history at Saint Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. My hobbies are hiking and photography. I have never lived abroad before, so I was looking for an option to go somewhere, and Wider Horizon was a great opportunity for me. Also, I wanted to participate in the Event Wise event. I remember that when I arrived in Olde Wechte without being quite hospitable. My first impression was amazing. I will be here for two months! At first, I was excited, confused, and happy at the same time. But I know that I wanted this and that it will all be okay. After two months I was genuinely sad that my Wider Horizon was ending because we connected very well with the whole group and it was wonderful to live together with those people. We had so much fun and so much sharing between us. There are several reasons why I decided to go for long-term EVS. When I first came here and saw how people live here and what kind of things are happening, I was just impressed. Another reason is that I met my girlfriend here during the “Wider Horizon” project and we both decided to come back. I learned so many new things, new techniques, and skills. I improved my language skills and cooking skills. I plan to work in the kitchen as much time as possible and also do some of the training, I also want to do a photography project and support the organization as much as I can.” Simona Stojchevska – Training – “Train your team by training yourself” Ravnogor, Bulgaria 22-29.10.2019 “We were participants from about 10 countries, and the goal of this training course was to expand the participants’ knowledge of different methods of training/learning/teaching activities. Different topics were covered: coaching and mentoring, communication and learning styles, setting goals for conflict management, teamwork and leadership, honesty, excuses and lies people play. The program offered us a wide variety of one-on-one coaching techniques. the participants had the opportunity to try the techniques and methods alone, we worked in pairs or trios, allowing us to experience each of the techniques in the role of a coach, participant, and objective observer in indoor and outdoor group activities where participants were able to experience many of the concepts of teamwork and leadership, mostly through body movement and non-verbal communication and rarely through verbal communication. In addition, each of the participants was part of an international 5-member coaching group that met every

Testimonials 2018

Latest News Testimonials 2018 Riste Gjordjievski – Olde Vechte, Netherlands “I think that the EVS projects of Erasmus+ are generally a good idea and an opportunity for young people from all over Europe and Macedonia to be able to travel more easily, to upgrade themselves culturally, to learn more about themselves and about all cultures in Europe. In the Olde Vechte center in the Netherlands, there is even more than that, there is too much socializing, enjoyment and fun, and sometimes work, which is still an opportunity to improve practical knowledge, improve English and communication skills, learn a word from the languages of almost every country. I met people from Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, France, and Italy, all the way to Norway. After these EVS projects, you can meet and create friendships with young people literally from all over Europe. Through various games and entertainment held every Wednesday in the organization, I learned a lot about the Netherlands, and about the cultural differences and similarities of young people in all of Europe. I have many friends and acquaintances who went to EVS projects in different places in Europe, but I still think that I made the right choice by choosing this particular organization and I got too many life experiences that I will never forget.” Pece, Nadica, Andrej, Marijana and Slave – Natural Like in the Hollywood industry – when a movie becomes a hit, you have to make a sequel! Well, last year’s hit was Natural (only one person reprises a role in this year’s installment of the franchise, and that’s Pece). This summer, we attended a youth exchange seminar that dealt with both employability and outdoor activities. We shared our ideas with 50 other people from 10 different countries and we all interpreted their experiences differently, but we were eager to share our impressions with each other. The entire project was divided into four parts. This exchange is truly life-changing, as we have experienced life at both its highest and lowest levels, and found it to be the same. After all, life is life and we are the ones who hold the key to it. We own the future, and the future owns us.” Iskra, Angela, and Anastasia – Innovation Camp in Switzerland 2018 “Again in Leysin, Switzerland, from September 20th to 24th, this year the innovation camp was held. This camp covered the same topics: youth and parliament, environmental action and advocacy, mental health, and youth empowerment. We as ex-campers of GLOW were sent by YMCA Bitola, to continue our involvement by creating clubs in some of our local towns, where ex-campers are present. These clubs are a new initiative and sharing the experience with others has been very productive for us.” Gordana Blagojevska – EVS experience in Aalborg, Denmark “It was a pleasure to be a part of KFUM-KFUK in Aalborg, in these 8 months I spent here, I had an amazing time, and experience meeting many people. I saw the Danish culture, the differences we have, but also many similarities. I am very lucky to have been a part of an amazing organization and to be surrounded by amazing people from whom I have learned a lot, I hope others have learned something from me as well. I just want to say thank you very much to everyone.” Filip Cvetanov – Caring to communicate – Czech Republic “After returning from this event, my adaptation to daily routines was fine, although I noticed that people tend to be attracted to me more than usual. I also noticed in my family that they become calmer than usual. What remains alive from this experience is the fact that if I’m not in the right energy, things are done around me without my participation in them. The experience has brought me awareness of how I can be more in tune with what is happening around me. I think this is the most important experience I got from the entire training that will help me shape my own path better. For me, returning to my daily routines was a bit strange, because we spent 10 days in a completely different environment, it was 10 days of love, appreciation, calmness, non-judgment, and being aware and feeling everything around us, like a different dimension of freedom. My surrounding home is usually not always like that, it was disappointing because now I knew how things could be. However, I decided to work on myself and try to implement what I learned and improve more and more. It was hard to adjust at first, but now I’m trying to use what I’ve learned and make it work. I can’t write everything I’ve implemented or learned because it would take too long, but I’m grateful for everything.” Andriana Aleksovska – training course in the Netherlands “The camp in the Netherlands was an amazing experience. Its purpose was to improve our camping skills and learn new things about this area. We got to know many different games and information about camping, dangers and consequences, and how to escape from them. A lot of attention was dedicated to leadership as well. We stayed in tents and it was a unique experience, anyone who wants to be a part of our camps like GLOW or YMLP must experience it. We learned a lot of new things, which will not only help us in organizational camps but also in everyday life. I just love these camps, because they help you not only improve your skills in the area that is our main topic but also give you a priceless opportunity for self-development. From Macedonia it was me, Marija Luseva, Mihail Naskovski, Fatlinda Zekiri, Valenja Ilevska, Andriana Aleksovska.” Martin and Radmila – “Free ways” – Netherlands “After being part of the short program called “Free Paths” of the Olde Vehte Foundation, we decided to continue our stay in the Netherlands. We did it through the EVS program of the Erasmus+ platform. We were happy and able to contribute and help

Here and now in Romania

Latest News Here and now in Romania Here and now was a training course for 26 youth workers from 8 countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Romania). It was held from July 25 – August 1, 2018, in Maramures, Romania. A project organized by the association YMCA Baia Mare, financed by the Erasmus Plus Program, with participants aged 18+, youth workers, young leaders, active volunteers in their organizations, volunteer coordinators, staff, etc. they were the beneficiaries of this event. The development of social competences (e.g. critical thinking, sales, communication, trust, helpfulness, problem-solving skills, leadership, acceptance and tolerance, intercultural learning), by experimenting with different methods of non-formal education using “Going Outdoors” as a tool for social inclusion were the main goals of this training. The main goals were to support the participants in the creation and design of different and innovative open methods for inclusion in order to reach at-risk youth, as well as promoting the importance of non-formal education and social inclusion methods. The first days of the training were indoor activities, brainstorming games and communication style discovery. The other days we had activities like energizers, teamwork, rope climbing techniques, reflections, we had an intercultural night, the World Coffee, etc. We had the opportunity to discuss with a group of participants about our ideas for creating our own activity, and to do this with other participants. Any journey can profoundly change the way we experience our world, and this was unique and invaluable to my personal growth. It was a great opportunity to look at new cultures, to communicate with people, to share different impressions and thoughts. Achieving common goals with joint effort was present in all activities and this played an important role in building my skills. As an additional issue, it increased my desire to acquire new knowledge and develop myself, because only by self-improvement can we contribute to society and influence others. The here and now is all we have, and if we play it right, it’s all we need! “After some time away from such trainings, I renewed myself and allowed myself to become one with everything we were doing. I was curious about every activity and forced my mind to think “How do we do this now?” and we all came up with different ideas, gained trust in each other, challenged each other, learned and eventually met people who taught me how to care and loving myself, others who have inspired me to never stop dreaming and achieve my goals. I made friends and had wonderful moments that I will never forget. These trainings opened the curtains and offered me a chance to see a colorful multicultural world, take something from everyone’s uniqueness, learn new things and improve my professional skills. Youth has so much to give, the world can be a better place to live in and Erasmus Plus is all about that.

2017 Testimonials

Latest News 2017 Testimonials Vasil Kocevski – Change agents “As a change agent coming from Macedonia, I can describe my experience from the Regional Training in Switzerland as an enlightening, inspiring advertisement at the top – a real adventure. About 50 young people gathered in one place to be the change, convey the vision and inspire action. After spending 4 days with my fellow change agents, I can say that I encountered people with the talent, skill, and motivation to lead change that will have a positive impact on society. Spending a few days in nature, disconnected from the rest of the world helped me to strengthen my character and create new friendships. With the help of the Scouts, we created a truly unique environment for a regional gathering. I spent a lot of time learning how the YMCA works in different countries and discussing ideas for the organization’s progress both locally and globally. I experienced some of the challenges of scouting and learned many useful practices from the scouts who were our companions. As the biggest highlight of the experience, I would choose the new friendships I made, meeting extraordinary individuals with interesting life stories. This is because I value relationships above all else. The experience made me realize that despite many differences, young people can be united by a common goal, the goal of creating a better future. Sharing the philosophy of the Bible, the YMCA encouraged us to show unconditional love to our neighbors. In my opinion, showing unconditional love is one of the most noble characteristics of a man. So that’s one of the lessons from the training that I keep the most. As a final word, during my experience in Switzerland, I gained full confidence that young people can and young people will. We will be the change, communicate the vision, and inspire action.” Vasil Kocevski – Study visit to YMCA America “During my visit to America this summer, I decided to use the opportunity for a study visit to the American YMCA to get to know more about how the organization works in America. I made a short visit to the West Side YMCA in New York, which had a very impressive establishment, and a more extensive visit to the Cambridge YMCA in Boston. YMCA Cambridge mainly operates as a gym and is focused on sports activities. Fitness, basketball, boxing, and swimming are some of the disciplines offered by the Cambridge YMCA. As I said at the beginning, my primary goal was to become more familiar with how the American YMCA works. To gain better insight and valuable information, I focused on management, recruitment, financing, and involvement in international activities.” Marko Tomovski – “Do it for the Youth” – 07.2017 – Romania “This June I again had the opportunity to be part of a wonderful experience where I gained new knowledge and skills, discovered a completely new perspective on what it means to be a youth worker, and met a wonderful group of ambitious, experienced, and nice people from 7 different countries. The project was an excellent opportunity to penetrate the NGO sector and get a picture of how management, strategic planning, and the achievement of goals in a non-governmental organization function. For me, the training was a real revelation regarding what it means to be part of an association, to present the organization to new foreign partners, and to strengthen the relationship between the youth worker and the organization itself, as a place where changes occur. While representing YMCA Bitola during training or in discussions with other participants, I was especially proud and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the association that brings positive changes to our community. Of course, the training would not have been realized without the positive energy and enthusiasm of the participants, as well as the trainers. We gained strong bonds and exchanged many different ideas, opinions, and cultural values that enriched our personality. Whether I was working with young newcomers to the field like myself, or veterans with 25 years of professional engagement in the sector, it was always exciting to hear a different perspective and work together to meet goals. Finally, I can add that the “Do it for the Youth” project exceeded my expectations, as it was a perfect combination of new knowledge, challenging activities, and meeting amazing people.” Representatives of YMCA Skopje – leadership academy, session 1, Litomyšl – Czech Republic “Two representatives of YMCA Macedonia from March 21 to 26 in Litomyšl, Czech Republic, participated in the first session of the Leadership Academy of YMCA Europe, where 30 young leaders from 18 different countries participated, including two representatives of YMCA Macedonia. This academy was planned in 3 sessions during 2017 and the next two sessions are in June in Moldova and in November in Belgium. The first part of the training was dedicated to different types of leadership and the specific characteristics of a leader, especially in an NGO (non-governmental organization), emphasizing the need for inclusiveness and democracy. Furthermore, in the second part of the training, human rights and their basic approach were discussed. The lectures were given by the expert in that field, Magdalena Gavronska, who, through various practical games and roles, showed the participants the position of a large group of vulnerable people with threatened basic human rights and made them think about how the YMCA would help them in those cases. This first session of the Leadership Academy was also dedicated to creating new friendships in a wonderful atmosphere and bringing together different cultures and languages through food, music, and laughter.” Group of participants – 04.2017 – Netherlands “A group of guys from Macedonia got together and went on a youth exchange in the Netherlands. We were Jac, Pece, Ane, Alexandra and Christian. Before this, the APV event took place, for which all of us who were group leaders prepared to present which activity to others during the exchange. APV was in April 2017. In July, we left

“Do it for the Youth”- My story from the project

Latest News “Do it for the Youth”- My story from the project By Marko Tomovski This June, I once again had the amazing opportunity to be part of a great experience from which I gained new knowledge and skills, revealed a whole new perspective about what it is to be a youth worker and met a phenomenal group of ambitious, experienced and friendly people from 7 other countries. Held in the small town of Busteni, situated in the beautiful mountain area of central Romania, the Erasmus+ project “Do it for the Youth” was an ideal occasion to truly step in the NGO sector and figure out what is really happening in the structure management, strategic planning and realization of the goals in one non- governmental organization. For me, the training was a revelation about what does it mean to be part of one affiliation, to represent one organization to many new partners from abroad and to strengthen the link between myself as a youth worker and the organization as the place in which I find the opportunity to make the society a better place. As I was presenting YMCA Bitola during the NGO night or the conversations and discussions with the other participants, I felt extraordinary proud and grateful to be a member of an association that pushes our community further. The project had a very magnificent program that took me to the future in order to see the upcoming trends, issues and challenges that will affect the NGOs and the society as well. Furthermore, the training sessions where we engaged into group discussions and activities for finding methods to innovate, adapt and to self- sustain our organizations were rewarding experience. Not only have I discovered new aspects of what would the future bring but I have also started to think of how we can achieve success in the unpredictable course of action. Therefore, the experience brought so much improvement to my personal skills, such as to anticipate and react more successfully on everyday problems, to think more creatively in finding solutions and to prepare a well-established schedule for execution of the plan. However, the training could not be possible if there was not the positive energy and enthusiastic attitude from the participants and the facilitators. We created strong relations and exchange a lot of different ideas, opinions and cultural values that enriched our personality. Whether I collaborated with young newcomers as me in the field or veterans with 25 years of professional engagement in the sector, it was always exciting to hear different perspectives and work together to finish the objectives. Finally, I can say that the “Do it for the youth” project exceeded my expectations, it was a perfect combination of new knowledge, challenging activities and meeting amazing people.

Testimonials 2016

Latest News Testimonials 2016 Group of participants – Intercultural exchange in Trogen, Switzerland  “We had the opportunity to live for 2 weeks in the children’s village of Pestalozzi, in Trogen, Switzerland. There we lived together in the houses, we agreed on everything, and everyone had their tasks and responsibilities. We learned not to see each other in differences, to forget stereotypes, and to have more respect for ourselves. Of course, we also enjoyed the beauties of Switzerland and we will take beautiful moments with us from each city. We were sad to leave this wonderful place, but also happy that the 8 of us will no longer be the same, but new people with different ideas and goals.”  Natalija Damchevska: I came back from Switzerland with acquired many habits, as well as acquired new knowledge in relation to the topics we were working on. I met many friends from Macedonia and Serbia. In a word for me, this exchange was something I will remember for the rest of my life.  Matea Naumovska: for me, this exchange was a wonderful experience. There I expanded my circle of friends, gained more knowledge, and returned home with changed opinions. The most interesting for me were the walks and the letter about myself, which we should receive after a few months. I hope that everyone will have a chance in their life to get this experience.  Christian Lazeski: the stay in Switzerland was very interesting and I came back with many arguments with which I can freely oppose people who discriminate. The workshops were very effective and interesting. I have no words for the fellowship and I am still in contact with all the other participants.  European Solidarity Corps  “On my EVS, I improved my English and learned to drive a utility vehicle that they used for farm work. Then I realized that living and socializing with people from different cultures is challenging but also fun on the other hand. Cycling to work can be more tiring than the work itself. I also figured out where I want to live.”  Vasko Ristevski  “The biggest impression left on me was the mentor’s commitment to the work tasks, the great concern, as well as the fact that I had the chance to get to know the history of the city. The warmth of the people was surprising and on a break from work, we had lunch with the family, during which we felt like part of the family. I have traveled to many cities around the Netherlands and this project has met my expectations.”  Martin Angelov  “I met people from different countries and some of them were interested in learning sign language, so I spent some time teaching them and it fulfilled me. But what pleased me the most, even gave me goosebumps, was the procedure of our 67-year-old mentor who made an effort to find, download, and learn to work on an application that translates English into sign language, which enabled our communication to go very well and quickly.”  Radmila Peric  Training Course “Re-connection, Czech Republic  I still hear the echo of this beautiful song, which reminds me of the unique adventure of self-discovery. This new journey was titled ‘Re-connection*, a magical project that took place in the idyllic part of the Rychlebske Mountains in the Czech Republic. This close, unusual contact with nature was the most authentic way to penetrate the purest parts that fill my soul, for the sincere reason of wanting to achieve this or that in life. For the clear picture, of me in the past, present, or future. The trip was a great opportunity for me to concentrate for the first time in more detail on myself and to think about all the things I have experienced so far. The mentors also contributed a lot to the whole atmosphere with the support they gave us, as well as the group as a whole. This unusual opportunity was a new chapter in the building of my personality and character. It was a reason for me to deepen my self-reflection and awareness, so now I trust my instinct, I know how to ask myself a real question and give myself an answer that is authentic, only mine. It was a priceless, pleasant experience with new people, beautiful nature, and most importantly, an opportunity to reunite with yourself. This journey was the beginning of a lifelong process for a significant part of human life – discovering and believing in oneself.  Pavlina Veljanovska

Wonderful Days in Denmark 2016

Latest News Wonderful Days in Denmark 2016 Last year i visited GLOW Camp, which gave me an incredible experience, and this year i visited ‘’Wonderful Days’’, a festival camp in Denmark. I’ll try to describe this experience, but i’m not sure if i’ll do it properly, because there aren’t enough words for it. Firstly we stayed in Aarhus and then we went to the festival place. The days in Aarhus were amazing, as well as their program. We had a challenge which gave us opportunity to explore that beautiful city with the groups they made. Also all the activities aiemed to show us the importance of trust, team working, solidarity and empathy. After Aarhus we went to the festival place. It was my first camping time (with tents), so i was really excited about it. In the festival we has a lot of concerts as well as fun. There were different tents as skills, sports, music, wildlife, tree house….. The thing i like the most about the activities during the festival was the night when we had a challenge like surviving or rather we had a marked path , we had to follow it and there were different challenges we had to pass. Wonderful days is an unforgettable experience- a chance to explore Denmark, to meet new people, to make new friends, to try new things, to see new cultures. I’m really happy because i had an opportunity to try this and above all i want to give an enormous thank you to all people who helped to organize and make the festival incredible.
